What is it?

Resourceful Kansas is funded by the Department of Energy (DOE) Better Buildings Program grant and has as its overall goal,

to engage communities throughout the state of Kansas in making a fundamental shift toward a less energy intensive, more efficient economy.

Resourceful Kansas will be interpreting the below categories in a broad sense. If you feel as though your organization fits within one or more categories, you are encouraged to apply.

  1. City, County and State facilities (for example: police, fire and emergency response stations, public works facilities, water and wastewater treatment plants, courthouses, office buildings)
  2. Unified School Districts and Private Schools (for example: school buildings, administrative building, campuses)
  3. Public Colleges, Universities and Technical Schools (for example: campuses, cafeterias, dorm facilities)
  4. Agribusiness (for example: confined hog operations, grain drying facilities)
  5. Non-Profit Organizations (for example: museums, educational facilities, houses of worship, assisted living facilities, hospitals, libraries)
