Resourceful Kansas FAQs

Q. How do I know if our organization is a good candidate for the Resourceful Kansas program?

A. Resourceful Kansas is looking for a variety of organizations; organizations that would help Resourceful Kansas accomplish our goals; organizations that have energy reduction goals of their own our program could help them meet.  If your organization falls within one of the eligible organization categories and you support our efforts to create a less energy intensive, more efficient economy in Kansas, we encourage you to apply.

Q. If I am selected during Round 2, can I apply again for Round 3?

A. Yes; there is no limit to the number of Seminars and Energy Assessments that can be awarded to a single organization.  Resourceful Kansas will give preference to those who have not yet attended a Seminar or who have not been awarded an Energy Assessment.  Please note in the ‘Additional Comments’ section of your application that you intend to send members within your organization that did not previously have the opportunity to attend the Seminar, and/or that you have an additional building you would like considered for an Energy Assessment.

Q. What out of pocket expenses will I incur to participate in the Resourceful Kansas program?

A. While there is no registration fee for the Resourceful Kansas Seminar and lunch is provided that day, if you are selected your organization will be responsible for your travel to Riley County, Kansas.  While there is no charge to your organization for the Energy Assessment, if you are selected your organization will need to fill out a pre-assessment questionnaire and have a representative available the day of the site visit to show the auditor your building systems and site.

Q. Can I use the Resourceful Kansas logo on our website to announce our acceptance into the program?
