
Riley County is a county located in U.S. state of Kansas. Current population of the county is approximately 70,000. According to the U.S. Bureau, Riley County has a total area of 622 square miles and lies in the Flint Hills region of the state. Eastern border of the county is margined with the Big Blue River which was dammed in 1960; as a result Tuttle Creek Lake was created.
Manhattan, Ogden, Riley, Leonardville and Randolph are the incorporated cities of Riley County where Manhattan is the largest city and the county seat. Riley County also home to the Kansas’ largest employers, Fort Riley and Kansas State University.
